Graeme Young is CEO of Visioncare Research Ltd, a UK-based contract research organisation (CRO) specialising in eyecare research and which has conducted over 500 clinical studies, many of which have been multi-center studies in N. America, Europe and China.  After graduating from City University, London, he practiced optometry in Jersey in the Channel Islands before studying for a higher degree, receiving a Masters degree and later a PhD for contact lens related research projects. Prior to forming Visioncare Research, Graeme Young worked for Hydron Europe as Director of clinical research and later for Allergan Optical as UK Director of R&D. He is a member of the International Society for Contact Lens Research (ISCLR), a diplomate of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) section on CCL&RT an ex-president of the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA).

He has published over 100 scientific papers on contact lens related topics and lectured widely on the subject.
